Party Feedback - Sharing Ideas

As previously mentioned, this blog was created for us to share ideas. Let's get the discussion rolling with some feedback on the Fall/Character Day Parties.

What was the highlight of the party?
What would you do again?
What would you avoid in the future?

  1. The games were the highlight and I will use them again - The students had a great time having a mini-pumpkin Olympics. I set up three game areas (bowling, pumpkin toss, and pumpkin golf). The kids were divided into four teams of four. The winning team (most points after playing all three games) won cotton candy to take home. I had the teacher select the top boy and girl (and runners up) with the best sportsmanship. The winners won a puzzle and silly bandz. All the students were given silly bandz and a treat bag at the end. The kids had a great time and the parents were involved in helping with the games, cookie decorating, and clean-up. We had a great party!

  2. Shirley (4th grade Room Parent) shared the following idea:

The homeroom teacher allowed the students to decide on the menu for the party. She gave them a choice between Buffalo wings and pizza (they chose Buffalo wings). This made the food planning a lot easier.
